Skin Cancers

We perform surgical excisions of skin cancers. We also perform a procedure called FROZEN SECTION for certain skin cancers in areas more delicate to treat on face, ears and sometimes digits. During a frozen section the patient comes to the office, the skin cancer is excised and the removed specimen is passed on to the PATHOLOGIST who is ON SITE at the time of the procedure. The pathologist will prepare the slides and read them. During this process the patient will be waiting in the office. Once the margins of the excision are clear of the cancer we will be closing the surgical  defect by different procedures, including the transfer of skin from another site (skin graft), or the moving of skin in the close vincinty of the defect (skin flap)
